I had the chance of going to the Standford Annual Powwow Event few months ago since all of my friends went to that school in Palo Alto, they took it upon themselves to take me with them. It was the biggest gathering of Native American's here on west coast according to them. There were vendors around the area selling authentic native stuff, insane performances and some native american inspired food. I was hoping to grab a nice tote bag but unfortunately they didn't have one. There was a lot accessories though, but I'm not a big fan of jewelries so I decided to just hit the food section. Omg! You have not live until you try an indian taco. Can I just say, who ever invented fry bread should win a Noble Peace Prize.
The event was situated outside or within the campus of Stanford. I can't seriously remember and since I haven't really seen the campus on daylight, the girls and I had a mini tour. It is such a beautiful campus. It felt like i was on a very legit Hacienda somewhere in Spain. They tried to push me by the fountain, which apparently a ritual-ish thingy in Stanford. I had beer at the Tree House which was a disappointment since I was hoping it really was a tree house not just some sad cafeteria. We also had coffee outside the library and did my Tyra Moment by the church ground which Francisco ruined by being in the photo. lol!
